Cruise passengers Getting Younger

While numbers of cruise holidays are escalating, the ages of those on board are tracking in exactly the opposite direction. Cruises are becoming more attractive to the younger audience, with the lowest average age of a cruise ship passenger in the past 20 years – 46 years old.

“In the latest CLIA Cruise Review, the average age of UK passengers fell to its lowest in 6 years. Cruise lines are continuing to expand their offerings, adding new on board features and shore experiences to their itineraries which appeal to a more diverse and often younger market”, said Andy Harmer, Director of CLIA UK & Ireland.
