We are currently looking for Second cooks on board of luxury ships of the most luxury company in the world. The luxury ship is World Odyssey, famous for being part of the German television show “The Dream Ship" and travelled to various tourist destinations around the world.

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to respective Sous Chef and culinary team
• Play hands on role within the kitchen brigade learning new skills as well as assisting the development of the 3rd cooks and apprentices
• Developing and honing your food preparation techniques to chef’s satisfaction
• Checking food deliveries for both accuracy and quality
• Preparing ingredients for dishes as required
• Safely and efficiently operating with kitchen equipment such as stoves, grills, ovens and fryers

Requirements:

• fluency in English
• valid Seaman and International passports
• minimum 2-3 years experience at the rank on board
• diploma for the rank

The ideal candidate has to ensure the kitchen is clean and organized at all times and dishwashing and kitchen cleaning when needed. Moreover, to maintain a professional internal and external guest service, smiles, and creates eye contact. Also, he has to be able to work well in a team environment and meets all health and safety standards.
